Coober Pedy

We went to the Old Timer’s Mine. We had to wear hard hats as we explored the old mine.

Afterwards, we noodled for potch (low quality opal):

We drove to the Breakaways and drove along some of the Dog Fence. The fence is over 5600 km long!

This is the route we have taken so far:

    Hard hats are so cool!
    Did you find any opals?
Did you see any dingos along the dog fence?
Any other animals? Rabbits? Kangaroos? Emus? Camels?
I hope you are finding warmer weather. Here it has been very, very cold.

      Hi Grandpa,
Yes we did find some opal. We did see a dingo in the middle of the road. We saw 4 Wedge Tailed Eagles and some Black Footed Rock Wallabies.
The weather is freezing at night and warm in the day.
